I’m Speaking at Women in Tech 2025 – A Full-Circle Moment
Mar 04, 2025
I actually can’t believe I’m even writing this.
Last year, I was preparing to attend my very first Women in Tech conference. I was excited, ready to be inspired, and looking forward to being in a space filled with incredible women.
Then, the day before the event, life threw an unexpected challenge my way—I broke my ankle.
Common sense (and medical advice) told me to sit this one out, rest, and heal. But something deep inside told me I needed to be there. The pull was so strong that, against all logic and concern from my loved ones, I found a way to attend.
And I’m so glad I did.
Because not only did I get to experience one of the most high-energy, powerful, and inspiring events I’ve ever been to, but I had a moment that changed everything.
I remember sitting in the audience, completely in awe of the incredible speakers, thinking to myself:
“I’d love to be on that stage one day.”
And in a way, that vision came true even faster than I expected.
At the very end of the event, during the closing performance by Aisha Fukushima, she invited members of the audience to come up on stage and share a word that resonated deeply with us.
Without hesitation, I said:
“Authenticity.”
That moment stuck with me.
Fast forward to this year—when applications opened for a five-minute Lightning Talk, I almost didn’t apply. Life was hectic, I was struggling, and a part of me thought maybe now wasn’t the right time.
But thanks to the encouragement of Stephanie Darville, I submitted my video.
Not only was I invited for a follow-up conversation… but something even bigger happened.
I am beyond honored to announce that I will be one of the Keynote Speakers at Women in Tech 2025 in Stockholm!
From being so inspired last year that I forgot all about the pain in my ankle… to standing on that stage as a keynote speaker… this is a full-circle moment I never could have imagined.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to Stephanie and Elin Eriksson—not just for encouraging me, but for taking a chance on me. And to the entire Women in Tech team for this incredible opportunity.
On April 23rd, I’ll be stepping onto that stage ready to share my contribution to this year’s beautiful theme: Space to Play.
To anyone out there doubting whether they belong in the spaces they dream of—this is your reminder:
Apply. Show up. Take up space.
You never know where you might end up.
